What is the Créneau Carrefour Jeunesse program?

The Créneau Carrefour Jeunesse is a program for youth, ages 15-35. The Créneau carrefour jeunesse is designed to promote school perseverance, personal and social autonomy, and participation in entrepreneurship, volunteering, and community involvement.

School perseverance

WHO IS IT FOR

Youth, ages 15-19 who are at risk of dropping out or have dropped out of school in the last 6 months.

OUR ROLE

Encouraging school perseverance or a return to school.

HOW?

  • By accompanying each young person individually and in a way that suits their needs

  • By action: in conjunction with the school community and partners in the community

  • Supporting youth to reconcile work with their studies

Personal and social autonomy

WHO IS IT FOR

Everyone, ages 16-35 living with significant personal or social difficulties.

OUR ROLE

Supporting vulnerable youth to help stabilize their life path. Encouraging young people to engage in a different way of living.

HOW?

  • By accompanying each young person individually and in a way that suits their needs

  • Through individual or group activities

  • Through concrete community involvement projects

  • By acting together and in conjunction with resources in the community in order to create a safety net for these youth

Entrepreneurship

WHO IS IT FOR

Priority is given to high school students. 

OUR ROLE

Provide opportunities for students and teachers to have real entrepreneurial experiences through project implementation in schools and in the community.

HOW?

  • By accompanying and supporting youth and teachers

  • By acting complementarily and in partnership with schools

Volunteering

WHO IS IT FOR

Priority is given to high school students.

OUR ROLE

To create multiple opportunities for youth to get involved in their communities

HOW?

  • By offering a possibility of financial assistance for partner schools

  • By accompanying and supporting young people and school teams.

  • Through action in complementarity and in partnership with schools

Community involvement

WHO IS IT FOR

Everyone, ages 16-35

OUR ROLE

Fostering engagement through participation in projects that benefit the community. Promoting projects carried out by youth that have a positive impact on the community

HOW?

  • By offering financial assistance to youth to facilitate their engagement

  • By accompanying and supporting youth and the community

  • By acting in complementarity and in partnership with the community
